Born in Mumbai, Tunisha Kapadia grew up in a family of civil engineers. At the age of 18, she moved to Spain to study architecture at the IE University in Madrid upon being awarded a 50% scholarship.
She worked at marquee architectural firms such as Zaha Hadid while finishing up her undergraduate degree. She joined Kerry Hill Architects in Singapore after college where she refined her design sensibilities while helping brands such as Aman, Ritz-Carlton and GHM expand their hospitality footprint in Asia.
Looking to broaden her design portfolio, she moved on from Kerry Hill and joined Ingenhoven Architects. This is a German practice that is renowned for its sustainable, future-proof and minimalist approach to architecture. They designed one of the newest additions to Singapore’s skyline – Marina One and are lead architects for the Keppel Port rejuvenation initiative, a project that Tunisha was intimately involved in.
Her diverse experiences across marquee hospitality, mixed used and commercial projects led to her getting hired in a leadership role at Eco ID where Tunisha managed the architecture team and oversaw a portfolio of hospitality and luxury residential projects.
Driven by a desire to craft spaces with enduring relevance, she founded Natu Designs. This studio is dedicated to creating expressive and timeless designs that are deeply contextual and age gracefully. Her work seeks to bridge architecture, interiors, and material craftsmanship, celebrating the tactility of space, the nuance of light, and the comfort of functionality. Guided by restraint and authenticity, her designs express a quiet sophistication, where sustainability and longevity lie at the heart of beauty.
